Reflections for December 16

What a way to end the year than knowing that hope, growth, and a shared journey with others toward peace and wholeness is there for us! This is a learning process when life gets messy, but we can walk with God and get through it. I loved the drama about the two men trying to resolve issues together. They listened to each other and were there to help each other through difficult times. We can seek help from God and rely on friends for support. There are times I have been through where I was able to listen to someone who needed to talk about something they were going through. Many times I resonated with their experience, so I could lend a hand to help them. Other times people have been there for me. I was honored to help someone and honored that someone would listen to me. God brought us together for a purpose, and we could take the next step together. Both times we were longing for peace, and we received that peace together. We can walk into a new way of being after going through grief. Given the tools, we walk alongside each other to help and grow in new ways. The Prayer of Confession had the words “our hearts long for a strong and lasting peace”. The Prayer for Illumination had the words “walk with us until the day of your coming”. May you have God beside you to give you peace! Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
